Race Information
Race Start Time and Location
The 2009 race will start at 7:00 PM (note the later start time to accomodate warm conditions.) The Fun Run will follow at 7:05 PM. Race location is the same as 2008, at the Merritt Properties parking area adjacent to Gold's Gym-Ashburn at 20099 Ashbrook Place (just off Lexington Drive off Route 7.) Ample parking is available in the nearby corporate park as well as at the Home Goods parking lot about 1/4 mile into the race course.

1-Mile Family Fun Run
Not up for a 4-Miler? Then join us for the Fun Run to start at 7:05 PM, just after the 4-Miler takes off. The Fun Run is a great way to involve the whole family! Strollers are allowed in the Fun Run! Come out with your kids!
Awards and Prizes
Overall and Master's winners and age group winners (under 19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70 and over) will receive merchandise awards and prizes. CASH PRIZES will also be awarded to the Top 3 men and women overall and the overall Master's winners. The Cash Awards are: $150-$125-$100 for Top 3, and $50 to the Top Masters.) We will be using ChronoTrack timing. Overall awards will be based on clock time. Age group awards will be based on chip time.
There will be also be great random prizes from local merchants and other race sponsors. All participants who pre-register for the race will receive an official commerative "technical" moisture transfer race t-shirt. There is no t-shirt upgrade fee. T-shirt availability is not guaranteed for race day registrants, so register early!
Post-Race Festival
The Twilight Festival 4-Miler concludes with an evening festival for the whole family. Come out to enjoy live music, recovery food and drink, hot food courtesy of MOE'S Southwest Grill, a beer garden, children's activities including moon bounces, dunk tanks, face painting, and more. Bring the family to the festival and celebrate post-race!
Race Day Photography
What is the best way to commemorate your performance? With great pictures, of course! Apple Pie Photography will be photographing the athletes during the race, so give us a wave as you go by. And how do you find your pictures? Click on the link below to get to the website, then click on the picture above SPORTING EVENTS and select your event. Pictures will be posted within a few days after the race at www.applepiephotography.com.

For Your Safety
Water stations, emergency medical, and emergency phones will be available. The following will not be allowed on the race course: bikes, skateboards, strollers, rollerblades, dogs, headphones, and unregistered runners. (Note that strollers ARE permitted in the 1-Mile Family Fun Run.)
